This unit introduces you to Omeka Classic and its basic functionalities, while also comparing Classic to Omeka.net, Omeka S, and WordPress. This unit also introduces you to the Omeka Classic dashboard through the eyes of a Super Admin and Admin user.

Introduction to Omeka Classic
This video introduces you to Omeka Classic and its basic functionalities, broadly speaking.

When you’re ready, head over to http://leahtams.org/sils-sandbox/admin/ to start dipping your toes into Omeka Classic. The next video will cover what the Classic dashboard looks like for Admin and Super Admin users, in order to help familiarize you with the interface.
The Omeka Classic Dashboard
This video introduces you to the Omeka Classic Dashboard and two different user levels: Admin and Super Admin. You will have Admin access to the Omeka Classic installation for the majority of this course. To familiarize yourself with the different levels of access, please read the Omeka Classic User Manual’s section on Users.
